Elgin chamber celebrates business at annual meeting

ELGIN - The Elgin Area Chamber will hold its 111th Annual Meeting and High Fives Awards reception from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 30 at at Gifford's Kitchen & Social.

As part of the event, the chamber will recognize ten individuals, organizations and initiatives that contributed to Elgin's overall economic vitality in 2018. School District U-46 will also recognize its Business Partner of the Year Award at the event. Additionally, the Chamber will officially install three board members for a three-year term, including Nancy Abuali with Radius International, Ian Lamp of Lamp Construction, and Michael Wong with SmithAmundson.

The event will be emceed by longtime former Fox Valley Broadcasting President Rick Jakle and is sponsored by Brittain's Express Car Wash, Rauschenberger Financial Advisors and Gifford's Kitchen & Social.

The Elgin Area Chamber is a membership organization rich in history and comprised of more than 600 businesses of all sizes, representing most every industry and profession in the Elgin area.
