Brunswick to create boat technology center

METTAWA - Brunswick Boat Group, a division of Brunswick Corp., announced plans to develop the Brunswick Fiberglass Boat Technology Center, a recreational boat design and technology center.

Located in Edgewater, Fla, the 45,000 square foot facility will be home to the company's boat product development team, with a mission to design, engineer, and launch innovative, industry-leading products for Brunswick's Boston Whaler and Sea Ray brands.

The company said all brands in the Brunswick portfolio will benefit from the expert design and engineering services the center will provide.

Scheduled to open late in the third quarter of 2019, the center will give the company additional resources, while also creating technology and engineering jobs in Central Florida.
