Super Heroes, Tommy Hawk and Therapy Dogs Highlight Party for Pediatric Blood Cancer Patients
Patients were the superheroes at the Leukemia Research Foundation's (LRF) Annual Kids' Party. More than 120 guests including 35 pediatric patients enjoyed a fun morning filled with activities and guest appearances. The Chicago Blackhawks mascot, Tommy Hawk, stopped by and entertained the audience. Everyone took photos with Batman and watched a dog trick show by Robin's Dog Stars. Therapy dogs from Pet Partners of Greater Chicago wandered the crowd to the delight of the attendees. Additionally the families enjoyed a buffet brunch, dancing and games with a DJ, and a captivating magician. Guests received goody bags filled to the brim with toys and treats.
