Learn about school choice at Arlington Heights event Jan. 25

State Rep. Tom Morrison, a Republican from Palatine, will answer questions about school choice in Illinois at an event entitled "The Myths and Messaging of School Choice" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Christian Liberty Academy, 502 Euclid Ave., in Arlington Heights.

The event, planned to coincide with National School Choice Week 2019, will feature a presentation about the myths regarding school choice and share tactics for effectively dialoguing with other parents and community members about its benefits.

This event is sponsored by The Heartland Institute, an Arlington Heights-based national nonprofit research and education organization, in partnership with Americans for Prosperity and the Illinois Conservative Union.

"Students deserve a more effective school system and parents want, and deserve, more choice in their children's education," said Lennie Jarratt, project manager at The Heartland Institute.
