Minimal damage in Naperville house fire

A Naperville home on the 500 block of Settlers Court caught fire around 3:45 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Naperville Fire Department.

When the first crews arrived, they reported a small fire on the outside of the home that extended into the basement wall, the release said.

After additional crews arrived, the fire was put out and a search of the home was completed, according to the release.

Nobody was injured in the fire, which caused minimal damage, and the cause is still being investigated, the release said.
