Believe Project: $100 for man facing recovery from stroke

Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Bonnie Ebler of Gurnee. Here is an excerpt of her story:

“My nephew, 57, suffered a severe stroke in July 2018. He has been in a rehab hospital since then and he's had some setbacks.

“His family would be grateful to have an extra $100 to pay a bill or buy groceries or gas. The holiday season came and went without much celebration.

“I would love to hand over this extra for them. “

• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 daily in January to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
