Anigwe has 29 and 23 to lead Cal over Washington State

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Kristine Anigwe scored 29 points and grabbed a season-high 23 rebounds to help California beat Washington State 77-63 on Friday.

Anigwe, who had her second 20-20 game of the season, has recorded a double-double in all 16 of the Golden Bears' games this season. She averages 22.3 points per game and leads the nation in rebounding with 15.0 per game.

The Bears (11-5, 2-3 Pac-12) pulled away in the fourth quarter with an 18-2 run capped at 77-54 on Anigwe's layup with 2:24 left. The Cougars (7-10, 2-4) had closed the deficit to seven after trailing by as many as 15 early in the third quarter.

Asha Thomas added 13 points and Jaelyn Brown scored 12 for Cal.

Borislava Hristova had 21 points and Chanelle Molina scored 13 for Washington State.

The Golden Bears welcomed 3,000 elementary- and middle-school-aged children from the local area to Haas Pavilion for their fifth annual School Haas Rock game.
