Winter tree walk at Volo Bog State Natural Area

A winter tree walk will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside. Participants will explore Volo Bog with Naturalist Stacy Iwanicki and learn to recognize trees in their winter garb. Other features such as insect galls, animal tracks and nests will also be identified and discussed. The event is geared to adults and youth aged 10 and older. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but the walk may be canceled if minimum registration is not met 24 hours prior.
