Believe Project: $100 to help those in need
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Latrisha Cole of Zion. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"If I was given $100, I would continue to do the Lord's will and bless many more seniors, underserved communities, disabled citizens and veterans.
"With my 501c3 organization, Our Shining Stars Foundation, we give hygiene products, socks, hats, gloves, toys, school supplies and our time year-round. We are spreading love in memory of McKenna, a special-needs child, who lost her life. "We are funded only by the community, so every little bit helps us to help others."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 daily in January to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
