Bolivia picks Villegas as the new national coach

LA PAZ, Bolivia (AP) - Eduardo Villegas has replaced Cesar Farias as the coach of Bolivia.

Bolivian Football Federation executive Cesar Salinas said on Tuesday that Villegas was chosen after leading San Jose club to the national championship title last year.

The 54-year-old Villegas' first test will be in June at the Copa America in Brazil.

He told TV ATB he did not expect to get the job. Farias, a Venezuelan, was Bolivia's interim coach and favored to hold the position.
