Values misconstrued

We read Michael Gerson's "Trump is no champion for evangelicals" published on Sunday, Jan. 6, and would make these observations:

The title does not provide the truths contained therein. It illustrates clearly to me that over the years, Christianity's message and teachings of Jesus and Gospel values are impaired by our human frailties and weaknesses and are distorted and misconstrued in a way that renders them ineffective and treated disdainfully by our culture.
