Melgoza leads Washington over Colorado 68-58

SEATTLE (AP) - Amber Melgoza scored 15 points and Missy Peterson added 11 to help Washington beat Colorado 68-58 and snap a five-game losing streak on Friday night.

T.T. Watkins had 10 points for the Huskies (8-8, 1-3 Pac-12), who led by double digits after Peterson's 3-pointer with 4:31 left in the third quarter made it 48-36. Peterson finished 3 of 6 from 3-point range.

Washington never trailed, opening the game on a 17-3 run and going into the break with a 39-26 lead. Colorado cut the deficit to six with five straight points to start the third quarter but got no closer. The Huskies had their largest lead at 66-50.

Mya Hollingshed and Quinessa Caylao-Do had 13 points each for the Buffaloes (10-5, 0-4), who have lost four straight. Alexis Robinson added 11 points.
