Warren knocks off Lake Zurich

Adnan Sarancic scored 14 points, Sawyer Shrake added 12, and Warren's boys basketball team defeated visiting Lake Zurich 53-35 in North Suburban Conference action on Friday night.

Warren improved to 7-7 and 3-2 in the NSC.

Lake Zurich (4-14, 1-5) was led by J.R. Cison's 14 points.

Round Lake 74, CICS/Northtown Academy 48: Hakim Williams and Kevonne Peterson each scored 18 points for the visiting Panthers in their nonconference win.

Nick Pierre added 12 for Round Lake (8-9), and Isaiah Nixon had nine.

Maine East 67, Vernon Hills 62 (OT): Ryan Jacobson scored 24 points for the host Cougars in the Central Suburban League North Division game.

Mehki McCarthy and Joey Levitan each had 10 points for Vernon Hills (4-14, 0-5).
