Chicago Master Singers announces mid-season auditions

Midseason vocal auditions for Chicago Master Singers' current season will be held by appointment beginning on Monday, Jan. 14, during or after rehearsal in Lake Forest. Openings are available for all voice parts.

Singers wishing to audition should plan to attend rehearsals from 7-10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 and 21, at the Village Church of Lincolnshire, 201 N. Riverwoods Road, Lake Forest.

Auditions are by appointment only. Dedicated volunteer singers are invited to request an audition appointment by email to cms.information@gmail.com or by leaving a message at the organization's toll-free number, (877) 825-5267. A chorus member will respond to answer questions and schedule an audition time.

At auditions, singers are expected to sing a prepared solo piece of their choice in classical vocal style and bring four copies of the music. A pianist will be available for accompaniment. Singers will also be asked to vocalize and sight-read an unfamiliar piece.

Members pay dues of $120 per year and purchase their own music. Audition information is at www.chicagomastersingers.org/auditions.
