Children Of All Ages Enjoy Cocoa With A Cop

The Cocoa with a Cop event, hosted by the Dundee Road Arlington Heights McDonald's on Thursday, January 3rd, which aimed to bring the community together did just that by serving up several cups of hot cocoa to customers of all ages.

David Bear, Owner-Operator, of the Arlington Heights-based McDonald's Franchise, said that taking part in such community-building events help to bridge relationships between residents and the local police force. Bear says events like these are a great opportunity for residents to come up and ask questions.

Officers Veenstra, Romag, Regilio and Hajek attended the event to personally meet and greet those in attendance. The officers passed out bouncy balls and sticker badges to all the children.

"This was our first Cocoa With A Cop event and it was a huge success. The children enjoyed asking the officers questions, drinking the yummy hot chocolate made especially by Officer Hajek and receiving prizes to take home," said Community Officer Romag.

This event was hosted by the Bear Family Restaurants and McDonald's Owner-Operator, David Bear. Like us on Facebook and visit our Website .
