Vacancy on District 118 board

Wauconda Unit School District 118 officials are taking applications for a vacancy on the school board created by the resignation of board member John Armstrong.

Applicants should send letters and resumes to board President Jonathan Feryance at Wauconda Unit School District 118, 555 North Main St., Wauconda, Illinois, 60084. They can also be emailed to jferyance@d118.org or faxed to (847) 526-1019. The deadline is 4:30 p.m. Jan. 11.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, District 118 residents for at least one year and registered voters. Interviews will be held Jan. 14.

The school board expects to choose a nominee Jan. 17. The nominee will serve until after the April 2 election.
