• Abby L. West, 36, of the 100 block of Prairie Street, Genoa, was and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 8:24 p.m. Sunday, according to a sheriff's report. She is accused of running a stop sign at Route 47 and Plato Road in Plato Township and hitting another vehicle.

• Joshua M. Baker, 22, of the 1100 block of Ridgeway Avenue, Aurora, was charged with felony aggravated battery, misdemeanor domestic battery and resisting a peace officer at 8:22 p.m. Monday after authorities were called to his residence, according to a sheriff's report. Baker is accused of pushing a woman he knew into a bathtub, biting her chest and covering her face with a shower curtain.

• Ryan C. Rasmussen, 23, of the 14N600 block of Getzelman Road, Hampshire, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday after rolling his truck near Stoxen and Harmony roads near Hampshire, according to a sheriff's report. Rasmussen told authorities he swerved to avoid a deer in the road; a chemical test at a hospital showed he had a blood alcohol concentration of .27, the report said.
