Believe Project: $100 to help sister who had surgery
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Rebecca Sien of Lombard. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"My sister had surgery in October and was out of work for several weeks. She was unable to get disability because she works part-time.
"She is 66 years old and alone and $100 would really help. She has been worried about not being able to get Christmas gifts for her grandchildren because she is so behind on her bills from being out of work."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 each day in December to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
