Barrington planning to unveil new look next month

Barrington is expected to unveil a new public image next month.

Officials said the village will have a new logo, website and branding system in an effort to better reflect Barrington in the 21st century. The new logo features a representation of the historic cupola at Barrington's Metra train station, which signifies the town's long history of being an important crossroads between the city and country.

A great heron on the cupola is a nod to the importance of the environment and the outdoors to Barrington. The new tagline is "Be Inspired," replacing "A great place to live, work and play."
