$100 to help friend with 'can-do' spirit
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Barbara Traver of Dundee. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"Our friend who does our snowplowing has been diagnosed with kidney cancer and will be undergoing surgery. He's a great guy who's always willing to help do more than is expected.
"He has had some problems with his truck that he uses for plowing, an extra expense he cannot afford at this time when he won't be able to do work for his customers. His can-do attitude, even with his diagnosis, is heartwarming, not only to us, but to his family."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 each day in December to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
