Hampshire, Dundee-Crown bounce back

Dundee-Crown picked up a big win 57-42 over Naperville Central on Thursday at their own Komaromy Classic, with four of five starters scoring in double digits.

Katelyn Skibinski led the Chargers with 16 points and 4 rebounds. Alyssa Crenshaw added 13 points and 8 rebounds, Gianine Boado had 12 points and 7 rebounds, and Payton Schmidt finished with 10 points and 3 assists.

Hampshire 48, South Elgin 35: Ally Cermak led Hampshire with 13 points in a win at the Komaromy Classic, and Kelby Bannerman added 11 points. For South Elgin, Ella Winterhalder led all scoring with 14 points, and Casey Brennan finished with 11 points.

Barrington 44, St. Charles North 43: Annie Tate had 16 points and 4 rebounds, leading the North Stars at the Dundee-Crown Komaromy Classic. Also scoring in double digits for St. Charles North was Caroline Jakaitis with 10 points and 4 rebounds.

Bartlett 63, Waubonsie Valley 37: Bartlett picked up its 12th win in a row against Waubonsie Valley at the Wheaton North tournament. Lexie Sinclair had 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Mackenzie Hare added 13 points and 4 rebounds for the Hawks. Bartlett improved to 14-2.

Conant 53, Streamwood 48: Idalyd Ocampo led the offense for Streamwood with 16 points. Peyton Hedger added 9 points for the Sabres in the loss at the Libertyville Holiday Tournament.

York 53, Huntley 28: Kamsi Nwogu paced Huntley (5-8) with 15 points. Missy Moffett added 8 points at the Montini Christmas Tournament.

St. Charles East 54, Elgin 46: At the Bill Neibch Falcon Classic, it was St. Charles East on top, led by Torrie Kortan and Gabby Schmidt with 11 points each. Leading the scoring for Elgin (3-12) were Dajha Cooper with 12 points, Emily Graves with 11 points and Sarah Moskow with 11 points.

Cary-Grove 44, Mundelein 32: Cary-Grove finished in fifth place with a win at the Libertyville Winter Classic. Taylor Tomasiewicz led the Trojans with 14 points and Bailey Steinkamp added 12 points.

Aurora Christian 63, Dwight 52: Tori Henning put up 24 points to lead Aurora Christian to a semifinal win at the Earlville Holiday Tournament. Mia Richert had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Lexi LaManna dished out a school record 12 assists. The Eagles will face host Earlville in the championship game at 2 p.m. Friday.

Harlem 59, Aurora Central Catholic 53: Delani Kosner scored over half of the team's points with 30, but the Chargers fell just short. Tressa Cwinski added 11 points for Aurora Central.

St. Edward 39, Illiana Christian 23: Brooke Biggins led the offense for St. Edward (5-9) with 10 points in a win at the Lisle Holiday Tournament. Hailey Niehaus and Samantha Ottinger each added 7 points for the Lady Wave.
