Aurora firefighters battle vehicle, garage fires
Aurora firefighters battled a blaze early Wednesday that had engulfed a vehicle and spread to a garage, officials said. No one was injured in the fire that firefighters responded to about 1:44 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West New York Street, according to the Aurora Fire Department.
Firefighters arriving at the scene found the vehicle was engulfed in flames and extended to a detached garage, officials said. It took 24 firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
Officials estimated that the fire caused $10,000 in damage. The cause remains under investigation.
