Groups can apply for Rotary Club of Palatine allocations funds

The Rotary Club of Palatine is currently accepting applications from local community organizations for possible donations from the club as part of their annual allocation program.

Organizations applying for funding from the Rotary Club of Palatine should support the Palatine community directly and be tax exempt under Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All applications will be considered for funding, but funding is not guaranteed. Money to be distributed was raised during the 2018 Oktoberfest celebration held the weekend of Sept. 14-16, in downtown Palatine.

"We had an excellent Oktoberfest that will aid the Rotary Club of Palatine in allocating funds to those in need within our community," said Cindy Stoeckel, president of the Rotary Club of Palatine. "It's a great feeling to be part of an organization that can give back so much, especially when so many have had to cut back in recent years. The 2018 donation is once again one of the largest allocation amounts raised and given out by the Rotary Club of Palatine in a single year."

Organizations interested in receiving a charitable allocation should submit their application no later than Jan. 15. Applications are available at the Rotary Club of Palatine's website at palatinerotary.com.

Applications can be submitted electronically from the site or emailed to allocations@palatinerotary.org. Printed copies can be mailed to Rotary Club of Palatine Allocation Committee PO Box 412 Palatine, IL 60078.

Stoeckel invites interested men and women of the Palatine community to learn more about Rotary.

"Those interested in joining our dynamic service organization are welcome to come and learn more about the good work that Rotary does both in our community and around the globe at one of our weekly meetings," said Stoeckel. "If you would like to attend a meeting email us at info@palatinerotary.com and we'll make the arrangements."
