Wheeling village manager gets nearly $9,500 salary increase

Wheeling village trustees this week approved a nearly $9,500 salary increase for Village Manager Jon Sfondilis.

The village board voted Monday to increase Sfondilis' salary by 5 percent to $198,621 from $189,162. The pay hike is the result of the board of trustees' performance evaluation of the village manager.

The new salary will be effective Jan. 1

Sfondilis has been employed by the village since 1993. He became the village manager in 2011.
