Schaumburg rolls past Hoffman

Coming off one of its finest defensive efforts of the season on Tuesday night against St. Charles North, the Schaumburg girls basketball team didn't miss a beat in Thursday night's Mid-Suburban West triumph.

Two days after holding the North Stars to 27 points, the Saxons were defensive again, registering a 54-28 victory at Hoffman Estates to raise their record to 7-6 overall and 2-2.

Offensively, the Saxons were quite efficient, too.

They received a game-high 11 points from senior Ariana Doroskin (three 3-pointers), one of nine players to score for the Saxons.

Other leaders were Talia Torosian (9 points), Katie Smith (6), Orozco (6), Savannah Williams (5) and Mady Vodicka (5).

Hoffman Estates (2-12, 0-4) was paced by seniors Raven Wilson (10 points) and Kate Mongold (6).
