DuPage Children's Museum gears up for a second annual Teacher Expo Aug. 28

DuPage Children's Museum will host its second annual Teacher Expo from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the museum, 301 N. Washington St. in Naperville.

With more than 40 exhibitors, this free event connects educators to professional resources that will support and enhance their work with children.

Teachers, home-school groups, child care providers, scout leaders, PTA members, and anyone involved with children ages birth through middle school are invited to attend.

"Teacher Expo is a fantastic way to kick off the school year, taking all of the energy and enthusiasm that comes with the start of the year to discover new ideas in this resource-rich community," says Thomas Sullivan, director of education and programs, DuPage Children's Museum.

"We had a great event last year and are looking forward to an even better one this year," said Chris Barry, STEM specialist and school programs manager. "It's a fun opportunity to present all of the programs that the Museum offers to an engaged audience and share ways that we can help teachers reinforce the subjects they're teaching through hands-on learning."
