$100 to help tenant buy daughter a gift
Today's recipient of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Beverley Caliendo of Hoffman Estates. Here is an excerpt of her story:
"My tenant has been with me for 10 years. He has a young daughter and is always trying to get jobs in construction to afford rent and basic necessities.
"I offer him work and end up dealing with late rent regularly. It would be great if he had $100 to get his girl a nice Christmas gift and meal.
"He is a good guy, trying to do the right thing for his daughter. It would be a great relief to have an extra, unexpected gift."
• The Believe Project is awarding at least $100 each day in December to people with good ideas for how to use the money to do a good deed for someone else.
