Two more enter crowded Buffalo Grove trustee race

With two more candidates filing petitions late Monday, the field for three trustee seats on the Buffalo Grove village board has grown to nine.

Adam Moodhe and Soojae Lee are the latest to file to seek a four-year term on the board in the April 2 municipal election.

Moodhe, a member of the village's planning and zoning commission, unsuccessfully ran for a trustee seat in 2015 and has been considered for village board vacancies since. He's also served on the Buffalo Grove Days Committee.

Lee, an attorney, mounted an unsuccessful challenge to longtime incumbent state Sen. Terry Link in the November general election.

Others in the crowded field include incumbent trustees David Weidenfeld and Eric Smith; Rachel Hausman Masse, Tim Kobler and Larry Steingold, who are running as a slate; and Carolyn Pinta and Gregory Pike Jr.

Buffalo Grove voters also will decide a contest for village president, with incumbent Beverly Sussman facing a challenge from former village trustee Mike Terson.
