Williams leads Grant past Lake Zurich

Tavarus Williams poured in 25 points to lead three players in double figures for Grant's boys basketball team, which defeated host Lake Zurich 70-53 in a nonconference game on Monday night.

Hunter Waszkowski and M.J. Smith added 15 and 13 points, respectively, for the Bulldogs (6-5), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Lake Zurich (2-9) dropped its eighth game in a row, despite 13 points apiece from Matt McGraw (three 3-pointers) and Will Tucker (two 3-pointers). J.R. Cison had 10 points (two 3-pointers) for the Bears.
