Tamale Fest fundraiser at Santa Maria Church in Mundelein

Santa Maria Church in Mundelein will host its inaugural Tamale Fest from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the parish center, 151 N. Lincoln Ave. This is a free event open to the public. Vendors will be selling a variety of tamales while competing for the title of "Best Tamales in Town" and cash prizes. Live entertainment also will be featured.
