December 'Images' features Frida Kahlo exhibit, Veterans Day celebrations and horticulture program

"Images," College of DuPage's monthly one-half hour television show, features in its December edition segments on the McAninch Arts Center's summer 2020 Frida Kahlo art exhibit, campus Veterans Day activities and COD's Horticulture program.

Each month, "Images" highlights the personalities, news and curriculum of a vibrant College of DuPage campus. The show airs on 13 area cable television stations.

December "Images" features the official announcement of a rare exhibition of original works by iconic artist Frida Kahlo, coming to the Cleve Carney Art Gallery at the McAninch Arts Center in summer 2020.

The 26-piece collection, on loan from the Museo Dolores Olmedo, features an array of sketches and paintings spanning the career of Kahlo, who is considered one of Mexico's greatest artists.

The show also highlights COD's recent Veterans Day celebrations. With a week of activities that included uniform displays and the annual Read-in, the College continued its tradition of welcoming and supporting the nation's veterans, current service members and reservists.

COD's Horticulture program is also featured in December "Images." The program offers associate degrees in Landscape Contracting and Management and Sustainable Urban Agriculture, as well as nine specialized certificates.
