BACC announces new board leadership for 2019

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2019 slate of business leaders who will be officially sworn in at the chamber's annual dinner and scholarship fundraiser Thursday, Jan. 17, at Avante Banquets and Conference Center, 1050 Northwest Hwy. in Fox River Grove.

The new Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce board will begin serving as the chamber celebrates its 50th year of service to the Barrington area, which includes 11 regional communities.

Members of the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce board represent a broad cross-section of business and industry in the Barrington area, contributing their time and expertise throughout the year in guiding the chamber, serving the business interests of Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce members and supporting the prosperity of the region.

"The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce board drives the focus and direction of the chamber and is comprised of individuals dedicated to our mission - to help local businesses succeed and keep our communities vibrant," said Suzanne Corr, Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce president/CEO.

The 2019 board includes Executive Committee members: Chairman Dennis Kelly, FGMK Insurance; First Vice Chairman Andrea Herran, Focus HR Consulting; Second Vice Chairman Keith Hanson, Hanson Law Group LLP; Treasurer Char Neault, Barrington Bank & Trust; and Past Chairman Tom Cramer, Wintrust Mortgage. A new leader joining the board is Norm May, Full Service Office Solutions, Inc.

Board members returning for another term include: Joseph Connelly, BMO Harris Bank; Steve Cook, Quintessential Barrington Magazine; Jen Frey, Good Shepherd Hospital Health & Fitness Center; Paul Horcher, Refined Construction; Amber Luczak, Edward Jones; Liz Luby, @properties | The Luby Group and 365Barrington.com; John Jackson, 4ci Management - Balancing Life's Challenges; Doug McAllister, Douglas Automotive Inc.; Dr. Robert MacDonald, Amita Health Medical Group - Family Practice and OB-GYN; Bryan McGonigal, McGonigal's Pub; Jennifer Prell, Elderwerks/Paxem; Scott Ray, Daily Herald Media Group; and Kathleen Scott, Lake Barrington Motorsports/Pepper Park Coffee.

Advisory board members who bring their special expertise to the organization are: Peg Blanchard of the Village of Barrington, Brian Harris of Barrington 220, Jesse Hennings of the Barrington Area Library, Robert Palmer of the Village of South Barrington and Michele Smith of Harper College.

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1969, is an association of nearly 900 member businesses representing more than 1,800 business people dedicated to the success and prosperity of the 11 regional communities it serves: Barrington, Barrington Hills, Deer Park, Inverness, Kildeer, Lake Barrington, Long Grove, North Barrington, Port Barrington, South Barrington and Tower Lakes.

The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce promotes economic opportunities, advocates the interests of business, offers programs for professional development and leadership, and works with and through its members to foster a robust regional economy.
