Framing Hanley back on stage

The recently reunited Nashville post-hardcore band Framing Hanley returned to the national scene this summer, dropping the single "Puzzle Pieces" along with news of the upcoming album, "Sumner Roots." The band is touring now and has a fresh new single, "Baggage Claim," out Friday. Hanukkah premiere

Strawdog Theatre premieres ensemble member Michael Dailey's adaptation of "Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins," based on the children's book by Eric Kimmel about a traveler named Hershel of Ostropol who helps a town defeat various goblins over the eight days of Hanukkah. Emerald City Theatre artistic director Jacqueline Stone directs the production, which features Strawdog ensemble members Anderson Lawfer and Lombard native Nicole Bloomsmith. WeishFest 2018

National roots band Dispatch and country star Easton Corbin headline WeishFest 2018 to benefit The Andrew Weishar Foundation, an organization formed in honor of Andrew Weishar, who passed away in 2012 after a three-year fight with cancer.
