Arkansas St. headed to Arizona Bowl

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State University is headed to the Arizona Bowl.

The school announced Tuesday it will be the Sun Belt Conference's representative in the Dec. 29 game at Arizona Stadium in Tucson. It will be the Red Wolves' eighth straight bowl appearance.

The Red Wolves (8-4) will face a representative from the Mountain West Conference that is expected to be announced Sunday. CBS Sports Network will televise the game.

Arkansas State was Sun Belt West Division co-champion, but a head-to-head loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in October sent the Ragin' Cajuns to Saturday's conference title game.
