Grant knocks off Crystal Lake South

Grant's boys basketball team has now beaten two Thanksgiving tournament champions.

The Bulldogs were the only team to defeat champ Carmel Catholic in the Grant tourney. Then on Wednesday night, Grant knocked off Crystal Lake South 54-48 in a nonconference game in Fox Lake. Crystal Lake South won the Johnsburg/Richmond-Burton tournament.

Hunter Waszkowski led Grant with 19 points, and Tavarus Williams added 14.

Wauconda 58, Woodstock 57: At Woodstock, the Bulldogs earned the nonconference win.

Donovan Carter (5 rebounds, 3 steals) and Nick Bulgarelli (6 rebounds) led Wauconda (3-2) with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Connor Brannick added 9 points and 6 assists.
