Batavia High's INCubator program to host fundraiser Dec. 2

Community members are invited to help support the Batavia High School INCubator Entrepreneurship Program by attending a networking and informational event with local business owners and professionals involved with the program.

Join local business owners and professionals for the third annual business networking event from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Penrose Brewing Co., 509 Stevens St., Geneva.

Cost is $50 per person. It includes food and two beverages, souvenir Penrose Brewing Co. glass, and a tour of Penrose Brewing Company.

It will feature networking opportunities with other local business people and a chance to learn more about this one-of-a-kind high school program.

"The INCubator program offers BHS students an authentic entrepreneurship experience. Working in teams, students create and fully develop their own product or service with help from local business owners and their classroom instructor," said Brian Gamlin, director of INCubatoredu@BHS.

Now in its fourth year, the INCubator Entrepreneurship Program is taught by Batavia High School teacher and head football coach Dennis Piron.

All funds raised for the INCubator Entrepreneurship Program will be used for INCubator classroom upgrades, seed money to help BHS students develop their products and services, and an end-of-year "Pitch Night" where students present their products and services to area business professionals at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre.
