Dundee-Crown, South Elgin open conference play with wins

Alyssa Crenshaw led Dundee-Crown (4-1, 1-0) to a 42-16 win over Huntley (2-3, 0-1) with 14 points in Fox Valley Conference play Tuesday night.

Huntley was led by Kamsi Nwogu with 5 points.

South Elgin 48, Glenbard South 32: Megan McClure led South Elgin (2-3) with 14 points, and Miah Galvan added 8 points in the win for the Storm.

Crystal Lake South 51, Prairie Ridge 46: It took an extra period of overtime play, but Crystal Lake South (2-3, 1-0) finally edged out Prairie Ridge. Kate Lawson led the Gators with 13 points, while Brooke Kuffel and Maddie Scharrenberg each added 9 points.

St. Edward 52, IC Catholic 50: Brooke Biggins had a huge offensive showing for St. Edward (1-4, 1-0) scoring 21 points. Samantha Ottinger added 8 points for the Lady Wave.

Aurora Christian 44, Wheaton Academy 30: Thaya Luse led Aurora Christian with 14 points. Tori Henning added 12 points for the Eagles.
