Arlington Heights village manager gets four-year contract extension

Arlington Heights Village Manager Randy Recklaus has received a 4.5 percent raise and four-year contract extension, keeping him as head of day-to-day operations for the town until Nov. 10, 2022.

An amended employment agreement for Recklaus was approved by the village board this week, following a recent closed session performance evaluation. Mayor Tom Hayes said the raise - from a base salary of $205,348 to $214,589 - and the extension shows the board's "commitment and confidence level" in Recklaus' leadership. Over the last year, Recklaus has helped oversee the construction of a new police station and planning for stormwater management projects, Hayes noted.

Recklaus was hired in November 2014.
