A Meaningful direction for a wonderful parish community

On July 01, 2018, a new Pastor, Fr. Joe Le walked through the doors of Saint Alphonsus Liguori Parish in Prospect Heights. His goal was to shepherd the parish and make a difference in the school. Well, he really is doing just that.

Fr. Le realizes that "children are our future" and has reached out to them in a different way. Fr. Le has started the "M & M Mass" (Faith Moves Mountains). The first one was Saturday, October 27 and the church had a great attendance. Fr. Joe's entire Mass was geared to the children and teens in attendance. This was so obvious by him sittting on the altar steps during the homily and talking to the kids and singing to them "Open the Eyes of My Heart"..

This effort was coordinated with school Principal Janice DiVincenzo, Music Director Mary Petro, and Youth Minister Kathy McGourty. The second M&M Mass was held Saturday,, November 17 with Saturday, December 15 and Saturday, January 12th planned as well. The M&M Mass is at 5pm and ALL ARE WELCOME.
