Ex-Lady Vol Anastasia Hayes lands at Middle Tennessee

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Former Tennessee guard Anastasia Hayes is transferring to Middle Tennessee, where she will play alongside her younger sister.

Middle Tennessee has announced the signings of Anastasia Hayes, guard Aislynn Hayes, forward Taylor Lewis and guard Kiya Turner. All are expected to begin playing for the Blue Raiders next season.

Aislynn Hayes is Anastasia's younger sister. Aislynn Hayes, Lewis and Turner are high school seniors.

Tennessee coach Holly Warlick announced in August that Anastasia Hayes had been dismissed from the Lady Vols due to an unspecified violation of team rules. The 5-foot-7 guard scored 9.3 points per game for Tennessee as a freshman last season.

Middle Tennessee coach Rick Insell said in a statement that "Anastasia brings quickness, toughness and the winning attitude we need at Middle Tennessee."
