Lake County scavenger hunt in nature set for Sunday

A Thanksgiving nature scavenger hunt will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Van Patten Woods Forest Preserve, 15838 West Route 173 in Wadsworth.

Participants will discover what we should be thankful for in nature and find clues along a designated trail in this self-paced activity. Afterward, a hot beverage and S'mores will be available.

Arrive anytime and dress in layers as the program is held entirely outdoors. Participants should meet at Shelter A and find the Environmental Education staff to begin the hunt. Cost is $2 and requires registration. Visit https://www.lcfpd.org/ for more information.
