Lake County hosting 'GIS Day' Wednesday

Lake County is hosting a GIS (Geographic Information System) Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago.

Experts, occasional users and novices can learn how to utilize GIS in operations and how Lake County government leverages the technology to be more transparent, efficient and economical. Participants also can connect with the County's GIS professionals and ask questions while learning about the latest tools and apps as well as available resources and how to use the information.
