Volunteers pack food for hungry

Hundreds will gather Nov. 20 and 21 in Downers Grove to prepare 180,000 meals for starving children in the developing world.

The seventh annual MobilePack to benefit Feed My Starving Children will feature packing sessions at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and 10 a.m. and 1 and 4 p.m. on Nov. 21 at Hobson Road Community Church, 2531 Hobson Road. The event is sponsored locally by Jack and Cindy Reidy.

Last year, volunteers packed 171,000 meals that were sent to Haiti - or enough to feed 468 kids a meal a day for an entire year.
