EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (AP) - In a story Nov. 6 about a steel mill explosion, The Associated Press reported an incorrect location for the mill. It is located at Indiana Harbor in East Chicago, Indiana, not Burns Harbor, Indiana.

EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (AP) - An explosion at a northwestern Indiana steel mill injured a worker and sparked a fire that sent smoke billowing from the industrial complex along Lake Michigan.

East Chicago Fire Chief Anthony Serna says the worker suffered burns in Monday afternoon's blast at ArcelorMittal's Indiana Harbor steel mill in East Chicago. The worker was taken to an East Chicago hospital but his condition wasn't released.

Serna tells The (Northwest Indiana) Times that Monday's explosion rocked a furnace at the lakeside mill that's about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of Chicago.

East Chicago firefighters used ArcelorMittal's specialized equipment to get the industrial fire under control within two hours.
