New lane configuration along Old McHenry Road in Long Grove

Transportation officials say drivers should be aware of new lane configurations on Old McHenry Road between Robert Parker Coffin and the Long Grove Fire Station in Long Grove.

Asphalt paving for the east/northerly half of Old McHenry Road was completed on Saturday. Northbound traffic is now driving on the new asphalt while southbound traffic remains on temporary pavement.

the work is part of an ongoing project that includes improving the intersection of Old McHenry and Parker Coffin roads with a controlled traffic signal, pavement reconstruction and resurfacing, drainage improvements, pedestrian accommodations (sidewalk and bike path) and street lighting.
