Kelly firing unfair

Kathleen Parker's Oct. 28 column was an excellent review of the terrible lies and accusations Mr. Avenatti has claimed against Justice Kavanaugh, until the very last sentence in the very last paragraph.

Parker outrageously calls former NBC host Megan Kelly a "racist" suggesting Kelly and Avenatti are "a pair of racists" and she could join him on the season's "spooky party circuit." This because of an unfortunate segment on Kelly's TV show regarding types of Halloween costumes worn now and long ago. Realizing she misspoke, Kelly, the very next day gave one of the most heartfelt, tearful apologies I have ever heard. She received loud applause from her audience.

Kelly is one of the most intelligent unbiased commentators on television today. I am sure she will be successful in whatever forum she seeks in the future. NBC has acted without fairness by releasing Kelly and should rue the day they made such a stupid decision.
