Nominating Petitions Available for Hanover Park Park District Commissioner
The Hanover Park Park District will be accepting nominating petitions from December 10, 2018 through December 17, 2018 (the last day of filing) for three, 4-year term park board commissioner seats. The office of commissioner is an elected position with no financial remuneration.
To qualify for the office of commissioner, an individual must be a registered voter who has resided within the Hanover Park Park District boundaries for at least one year prior to the election. Commissioners will be selected by vote of the community in the consolidated election to be held Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
The Board of Park Commissioners meets formally at 7pm the second and fourth Mondays of each month for Workshop and Regular Board meetings, and for Special meetings when necessary. A minimum time commitment of 10 hours is reasonable to expect during a typical month, but it may vary as needed.
