Waukegan man accused of robbing Lindenhurst gas station with shotgun

Lindenhurst police have arrested a Waukegan man suspected of robbing a gas station in September, authorities said Wednesday.

Harley Hall, 24, was charged with aggravated robbery as a result of an investigation into the armed robbery of the Clark gas station, 2041 E. Grand Ave., on Sept. 12, police said.

Hall, whose last known address was on the 100 block of Washington Park Road in Waukegan, is accused using a shotgun during the robbery and demanding money from an employee, police said.

Officers responding to the scene established a perimeter, requested a police dog and gathered evidence pertinent to the investigation, Police Chief Thomas Jones said in a news release.

"Through additional interviews and analysis of the evidence collected, we were able to identify a suspect," Jones said. "The teamwork displayed by law enforcement, in cooperation with the State's Attorney's Office and the Northeastern Illinois Regional Crime Laboratory, allowed for a positive resolution to this in-depth investigation."

Hall was being held in Lake County jail on $150,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 15.
