Glen Ellyn League hears 'Election Debrief'

WTTW's Amanda Vinicky will be the guest speaker Nov. 11 when the League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn presents "Election Debrief."

Vinicky, a correspondent and segment host for "Chicago Tonight" focuses her reporting on Illinois government and politics. Her work has been featured on NPR's "Morning Edition," "All Things Considered" and "The Takeaway."

She'll discuss being a female journalist in these times, the proliferation of "fake news" and the responsibility, both by the public and journalists, of vetting reliable news sources.

The discussion begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Glen Ellyn police station at 65 S. Park Ave. and is open to the public.
