Barrington Junior Women's Club Promises a Vibrant Day of Fashion, Philanthropy, and Shopping at POP! Fashion Show on Nov. 10th
BARRINGTON, IL. October 26, 2018 - The Barrington Junior Women's Club (BJWC) recently announced their 2018 Fall Fashion show - POP! Their largest annual fundraiser will feature bold color, playful décor, and eye-catching attire, and will also offer an upbeat day of shopping, fashion and charity. The Fashion Show will be held at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Center in Hoffman Estates on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
"Guests at POP! will enjoy a day infused with vibrant color and joy," said co-chair Jen Hopwood. "We want 'Bright & Bold' to not only describe the experience of attending the Fashion Show, but also our goal of inspiring bold philanthropy and bringing joy and brightness to our community."
The fashion show, in partnership with Neiman Marcus, and produced by Zzazz Productions, will showcase clothing from Barrington-area boutiques and retailers throughout Chicagoland. The runway will feature also feature fashions from Barrington-born and bred designer Cynthia Rowley. Over 15 area retailers are also expected to participate in the on-site boutique.
"We wanted an eye-catching color palette to convey energy and joy, and our Live Auction offerings are geared towards items or experiences that bring happiness and create fun memories for the winners," shared co-chair Emily Kerous.
The charity portion of the day includes silent and live auction items that are intended to delight the winners. These include an ever-popular Taco Truck, paired with entertainment in the form of talented duo Sons of Bildor; an "Instant Christmas" package meant to provide a holiday home makeover, complete with decor, food, lights, and clean-up; a "casual luxe" fox fur vest from York Furrier, and more! There will also be raffles, including the Impact Jewelry Raffle (a crowd favorite in years past) which will be sponsored by Keswick Jewelers of Arlington Heights and a doorway raffle of his-and-her bicycles. Silent auction packages will appeal to a wide array of age groups and the day overall will have something for everyone! Other generous sponsors of the event include Beaird Dermatology, BMO Wealth Management, Lake Cook Orthopedics | A Division of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, Barrington Bank & Trust, Wickstrom Auto Group, plus many other charitable partners are participating.
Over the years, the BJWC Fashion Show and the group's other charity initiatives have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local grants. Last year's Fashion Show event raised over $100,000. These grants are allocated on an annual basis to over 20 local charities, including Barrington Youth and Family Services, Barrington Giving Day, JourneyCare, WINGS, Meals on Wheels, scholarships for Barrington High School seniors and more.
